Meat tycoon Mauler sells his meat-packing factory to force a competitor into bankruptcy. The Salvation Army of the Black Straw Hats led by Lieutenant Johanna Dark, hands out soup and alms to the unemployed workers, and Johanna tries to get Mauler to re-open the factory. As he sees it, the poor are responsible for their miserable situation – “before the world can change, man must first change”. Mauler speculates again and relies on the monopoly of his factory. Meat is bought, there is work, and for a short time Joan becomes famous. She helps organize a general strike, but as a believer in non violence she dies as the ‘martyr of charity’.

"Show about the meat speculation, about human meat speculation, about the times we are living, about the dehumanisation, about the actual contradiction between what we ethically think and what we do, about the crows and the carrion, about this globalised capitalist system which is dehumanising us, and the impossibility of life and existence out of it.
